This is your application to our guild, for most of you it will be the first thing we see from you. This being our first impression of you, there are few things to tell you before you apply.
Your application can end even before it begins…it is true. Things that the officers of HappyFunRock will look at on your application when you post it.
1) We are crit by a wall of text, and your application dies from it, we have a form here:
1a) Your armory tells us a few things about you, such as are you PvP or PvE spec’d (and if either of these specs are any good). You are applying to a PvE raiding guild, we suggest you have your armory reflect your PvE raid spec until we have seen your application.
1b) Your Armory also tells us if you have Gemmed and Enchanted your gear, lack of either can result in an application being denied. The assumption being that If you don't care enough to do these simple things, why would you care enough to show up and perform to the level we need you to?
2) Your application is also a reflection of you to an extent, so make sure that you are putting your best foot forward.
3) Most if not all applicants will be asked to run SOMETHING with the guild before being accepted into the guild. This is to show after doing all the above that you don’t just have good typing skills and have learned to buy the best possible toon on E-bay.
4) At the end of the trial period you may be asked to leave. Just because you are guilded and invited does not mean you are automatically accepted.
Getting Recruited:
- After posting your application send a tell to any of our officers in game. However, please don’t whisper us while we’re in a raid. Just let us know that your application is up and say hello!
- We will throw your name around the guild to see if anyone knows of you, and we always check with people you list on your application first.
- Try to logout in your raiding gear if at all possible, we check the armory profiles of every applicant.
You’ve been Recruited!
- Anyone recruited to the guild is expected to be a raider, this is a raiding guild. You have to be able to make the vast majority of raids in order to help facilitate progress. However, we can and will be flexible with people who have unusual schedules, so don’t let that scare you away from making an application!
- Our main goal is progression, so expect to get comfortable with graveyard runs learning new content.
- Before you come to a raid make sure you have read up on the next few bosses we will be attempting, things go much quicker if everyone comes with a basic understanding of the fight and what their role in it requires.
- Come to raids on time with pots / consumables / reagents applicable to your class, this is somewhat of a given.
