Happy Fun Rock!
Hello There, i am Kitiara, GM of HappyFunRock and if you are reading these lines your are wondering the same, others like myself did on the past:
Am I not not entitled to enjoy raid content?
-"No" - says the hardcore - "it belongs to us"
-"No" - says the casual - "it belongs to others"
-"No" - says the pug - "it belongs to a better group"
We believed on something different, we believed in changes and we chose the impossible, we believed in.... HappyFunRock.
SinceClassic WoW, whole TBC expansion and currently all wotlk content,HappyFunRock is one of the oldest PVE raiding Guilds on Terenas Realm(EU). And we are now looking for some good players to fill our 25 man roster.
We have an experienced core of raiders and have been progressing very well on every kind of content blizzard designed for the game. This is your opportunity to get into a great guild in it's early stages and become part of an excellent
team of players.
We are currently looking for core Raiders. What does that mean?
- That means you come with us to clear content.
- It means you are a starting player. You'll be front it's time to kiss and flirt with our current targets.
- We play to clear content, and we play to have fun as well.
The following list describes the kind of raiders we are, and what we look for in new recruits:
Dedicated and skilled:We enjoy this game, and we enjoy pushing our limits. For us, it is notenough to just clear a raid dungeon, we want to do it as swiftly and cleanly as possible. However, pushing through raiding content is only your second most important goal, the first is...
Fun and relaxed:We play this game to have fun. We don't want to be in early raid content just to push buttons and get loot. We want to have as much funas possible while we're at it. We want to create the most enjoyable raiding environment possible.
Mature people: We are college students, grad students, people with jobs. We have girlfriends, wives, and some even families. We will not tolerate guild drama, we expect everyone to be...
Respectful and friendly: We aretrying very hard to keep the 'small family guild' feeling, even in a heavy raiding guild. We want everyone to get along, and expect everyone to be respectful to one another
Experienced raiders: We've raided content countless times. We have the know-how, and we have the gear. Still, we will NOT turn away 'fresh raiders' just for a lack of purple. We believe that skill >> gear.
If you have a
friend in Happy Fun Rock who is a raider, you can
apply for a social spot.Do not write an application on our recruitment boards. Contact that friend of yours and he will inform officers you would like to spendtime with your friend(s) in the same guild. Take note that you will notbe eligible to attend our main raids.
Our requirements are simple. Real life always comes first, but you will be expected to sign and beable to attend 3 raids per week. Signing does not guarantee a raidspot. When you do raid, showing respect to the rest of the raid is veryimportant. This means turning up on time, fully repaired (pots,Buffsand running boots) and with the appropriate consumables for your classso as not to waste everyone else's time.
We currently organize 4 25 man raids every week; Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Tuesday, from 20:00 till 23:00 game time.
We also run 10 man raids on Friday and Monday from 20.00 to 00.00, and 10 man alts runs / Hardmodes on Saturday afternoon and/or evening.
Level requirement is level 80.
We also request you install the standard raiding add-ons as specified below.
You should also read the rules and be in agreement with them as laid down in the rules section on this forum.
Atthe moment we are only taking on 17+ due to the age of other membersand the like. This is because we can all relate to one anotherregarding life issue's (sorry being late for a raid due to homework orafter school detention wont cut it here ;] )
If you think HFR sounds like the place for you, then please register on our forum and post your application following the proforma in the recruitment section. Two line applications will not be considered.
We will consider your application as quickly as possible. We just need abit of time to allow our Guild members the opportunity to comment before we make our final decision.
If for some reason your application is unsuccessful we will leave feedback as to why, and perhaps you can evaluate on the feedback left by us, and reapply in the near future
Raiding tools:
The following are mandatory raiding tools (this is subject to change):
Omen: (threat meter)
Omen is like a damage meter, except it records your threat. By monitoring all the abilities you use and checking your talents, armour set bonuses and buffs, the addon can recreate the threat list of a mob. This makestank transitions simple, and allows DPS to maximise their damage without pulling aggro.

DBM: (deadly boss mods) (BigWigs is okay, too.)
* Boss mods for all raid bosses
* Some boss mods have very advanced features like the Loatheb healermonitor which allows you to setup a heal rotation and see the cooldownsof all healers
* Synchronization system for dependable timers
* No dependencies, no 'embedded libraries', 100% stand-alone
* Modular design - all boss mods are plugins and can be exchanged, removed or updated separately
* Load on demand - boss mods and the GUI are separate AddOns and theywill be loaded when they are needed, e.g. the GUI uses no memory if youdon't open it
* Efficient code: very low memory and CPU usage
* Special effects like the screen flash and the screen shake effect will draw your attention to critical events
* Bars can change their color over time and flash before they expire
* Four bar designs to choose from with a user-set color
* Option to create custom timers
* Powerful object-oriented API - you can use it to write your own boss mods!

EPGP (Loot priority sorting mod, in-game)
EPGPlists all raiders and members in the guild with their current EffortPoints and Gear Points. The quotient of those two determines your lootpriority, which we use to allocate loot in raids.
